Coaches Claim Misbehavior by Shaheen Afridi on Recent Cricket Tours

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to remove Abdul Razzaq and Wahab Riaz from the PCB Selection panel. Shaheen Afridi the main pacer of the Pakistan cricket team has misbehaved with coaches and staff during a recent tour in Ireland and england, according to the source.

Manager Mansoor Rana has also been removed from his post due to a lack of discipline in the last three tours of the green team.

Pakistan Cricket Team recently knocked out from T20 World Cup 2024 and before this team visited Ireland and england for the T20i Series before going to the USA.

The resources are saying that Shaheen Afridi misbehaved with the coaches and management during recent tours but no action was taken by the team managers on the pacer’s inappropriate behavior.

Sources further stated that the managers were accountable for upholding discipline within the team, which is why Shaheen’s misbehavior went unpunished and is currently the subject of an investigation.

According to sources, the players who have established lobbies within the team are also under investigation.

In the meantime, certain players’ nonserious attitudes have been brought up by coaches in their reports.

The sources went on to say that the players’ animosity toward one another damages the team dynamic.

Following a dismal Twenty20 World Cup 2024 campaign, Riaz and Abdul Razzaq were ousted from the Pakistan team selection committee, said on Wednesday.

Mohammad Yousuf, Asad Shafiq, and Bilal Afzal are still part of the committee.

Sources claim that PCB has been losing faith in Wahab and Razzaq for a while. They had a big say in who was chosen for the T20 World Cup team, and they were more supportive of players who struggled.

Their opinions had been ignored for a while now, in the meantime.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board today confirmed that it has notified Abdul Razzaq and Wahab Riaz that their services will no longer be required in the national selection committee setup. Abdul Razzaq was a member of the men’s and women’s selection committee, while Wahab was a member of the men’s selection committee,” the PCB later confirmed in a brief press release on Wednesday.

“The PCB will provide further updates on the selection committee’s composition in due course,” it added.
