Global T20 Canada 2024: Babar Azam to Play under Vancouver Knights Captain Mohammad Rizwan

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan will be leading Vancouver Knights for the Global T20 Canada 2024. Rizwan has a lot of captaincy experience as he leads Multan Sultan in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Babar Azam who is the white-ball captain of the Pakistan cricket team will play under the leadership of Mohamad Rizwan in Global T20 Canada 2024. The tournament will start on July 25 and end on August 11.

Seven Pakistani celebrities are seen in action: Shaheen Shah Afridi, Babar, Rizwan, Asif Ali, Mohammad Amir, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Mohammad Nawaz.

Rizwan, Amir, Asif, and Babar will all be players for the Vancouver Knights. The Toronto Nationals will be represented by Shaheen and Nawaz, while the Bangla Tigers Mississauga will be led by Iftikhar.

Other international cricketers playing in the competition include Carlos Brathwaite, David Warner, Hazratullah Zazai, Shakib Al Hasan Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Mohammad Nabi, and Sunil Narine.

The Vancouver Knights won the league’s debut edition in 2018, and the Winnipeg Hawks won its second edition in 2019.

The Montreal Tigers are the reigning GT20 Canada champions, having defeated the Knights in the championship match in 2023.
