In the second semi-finals of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in between IND vs ENG which was held at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday. Team India defeated England by 68 runs and became the finalist of the tournament.

In the IND vs ENG, the Blue team posted a total of 172 runs target. England took a good start in the first three overs they were on 26 runs with no wicket loss. Jos Buttler who is leading the English side was in good form but he was knocked out by Axar Patel on the first delivery of 4th over.

As Jonny Bairstow (0 off 3), Moeen Ali (8 off 10), Sam Curran (2 off 4), and Liam Livingstone (11 of 16) all failed to score significantly for the side, India’s spin department continued to dominate the reigning champs.

With Patel and Kuldeep taking three wickets apiece and Bumrah taking two, India defeated the English for 103 runs in 16.4 overs.
India got off to a poor start in the first innings as Virat Kohli, who was bowled by Reece Topley after only nine runs, once again showed his lack of talent in the ongoing competition.
After scoring just four runs after being dismissed by Kohli, Rishabh Pant also left the field, leaving India down 40-2 after 5.2 overs.
But India rallied after dropping two wickets thanks to a 73-run stand between Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma. After making 57 runs, the Hitman reached his half-century but was dismissed by Adil Rashid’s googly.
Following Sharma’s removal, Yadav carried on with India’s attack, but he lost his wicket to Jofra Archer, allowing him to miss his half-century by only three runs.
Hardik Pandya (23 off 13) and Shivam Dube (0 off 1) both gave up wickets quickly, but Ravindra Jadeja (17 off 9) and Axar Patel (10 off 6) helped India reach 171 in the allotted overs.
