After losing their captain, England was never able to bounce back, and their problems were made worse when Jasprit Bumrah removed Phil Salt’s stumps.

As Jonny Bairstow (0 off 3), Moeen Ali (8 off 10), Sam Curran (2 off 4), and Liam Livingstone (11 of 16) all failed to score significantly for the side, India’s spin department continued to dominate the reigning champs.

Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Harry Brook after he scored 25 runs off of 19 balls, offering some fight. With 21 runs on 14 balls, Jofra Archer was England’s third-highest scorer.

With Patel and Kuldeep taking three wickets apiece and Bumrah taking two, India defeated the English for 103 runs in 16.4 overs.

India got off to a poor start in the first innings as Virat Kohli, who was bowled by Reece Topley after only nine runs, once again showed his lack of talent in the ongoing competition.

After scoring just four runs after being dismissed by Kohli, Rishabh Pant also left the field, leaving India down 40-2 after 5.2 overs.

But India rallied after dropping two wickets thanks to a 73-run stand between Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma. After making 57 runs, the Hitman reached his half-century but was dismissed by Adil Rashid’s googly.

Following Sharma’s removal, Yadav carried on with India’s attack, but he lost his wicket to Jofra Archer, allowing him to miss his half-century by only three runs.

Hardik Pandya (23 off 13) and Shivam Dube (0 off 1) both gave up wickets quickly, but Ravindra Jadeja (17 off 9) and Axar Patel (10 off 6) helped India reach 171 in the allotted overs.
