Karachi Kings Defeat Quetta Gladiators, Stay in Playoff Race

Karachi Kings secured a convincing seven-wicket win against Quetta Gladiators at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday in the 22nd match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine, confirming their spot in the playoffs.

Choosing to bowl first, Karachi Kings led by Shan Masood put up a stellar performance, limiting Quetta to just 118 runs. In response, Karachi chased down the target comfortably in the 16th over.

Although Shan Masood fell early for just 7 runs, Tim Siefert and James Vince steadied the ship with a solid partnership, with Siefert being particularly aggressive. Vince contributed 28 runs before being dismissed, but Siefert narrowly missed out on a fifty, scoring 49 runs. Shoaib Malik provided valuable support, remaining unbeaten on 27 runs till the end of the game.

In the bowling department, Hasan Ali was the standout performer for Karachi Kings, claiming four wickets for just 15 runs. Blessing Muzarabani and Zahid Mahmood also chipped in with two wickets each.

For Quetta Gladiators, Saud Shakeel top-scored with 33 runs, while other batsmen struggled against Karachi’s tight bowling attack. Despite a promising start, Quetta could only manage 118 runs in their innings.

With this victory, Karachi Kings solidified their position in the playoffs, continuing their quest for the PSL title.
