The fourth edition of Global T20 Canada is ready to start on July 25th and will end on August 11th. In this league, 6 teams will compete for the title.
In this tournament players around the world will take part in which Seven Pakistani Stars are also included. Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam, Asif Ali, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Mohammad Nawaz will be seen in Global T20 Canada 2024.
Babar, Asif, Amir, and Rizwan are going to play for the Vancouver Knights. Shaheen and Nawaz are going to represent Toronto Nationals and Iftikhar will be a part of Bangla Tigers Mississauga.
Pakistan’s squad for the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 included Babar, Rizwan, Amir, Iftikhar, and Shaheen as well. However, the team was unable to advance to the Super 8, the T20 World Cup’s second round, and they were forced to return home.
Other international cricketers playing in the competition include Carlos Brathwaite, David Warner, Hazratullah Zazai, Shakib Al Hasan Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Mohammad Nabi, and Sunil Narine.
The Vancouver Knights won the league’s debut edition in 2018, and the Winnipeg Hawks won its second edition in 2019.
The Montreal Tigers are the reigning GT20 Canada champions, having defeated the Knights in the championship match in 2023.
