The 12th game of ICC World Cup 2024 was between Namibia vs Scotland at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Thursday. Scotland registered their first victory of the tournament by chasing down the target in the 19th over. The credit goes to Captain Richie Berrington and Michael Leask for their brilliant innings.
In Namibia vs Scotland, during the start of the innings, Scotland faced difficulties. The early gone of George Munsey (7) in the fourth over as he was dismissed by Tangeni Lungameni made a huge loss for the team.
Munsey’s partner Michael Jones was hoping to take the innings but Namibian captain Gerhard Erasmus, who is good in off spin provided an important wicket to the team. He scored 26 runs on just 20 balls in which 3 fours and a six was added.

The Scottish captain, Berrington, and Leask came together for the fifth wicket and helped Scotland win their first game ever against Namibia. They added 72 runs together to secure the win.
Leask hit four sixes in his quick 35 runs from 17 balls before he got out in the 18th over. Berrington stayed not out with 47 runs from 35 balls and finished the game with a six off David Wiese.
Earlier, Namibia’s captain Erasmus made a crucial half-century, helping his team reach a total of 155/9. He scored 52 runs from 31 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes. Erasmus was eventually stumped off the bowling of Leask.

Scotland’s bowlers, Brad Wheal and Brad Currie, did a great job in stopping Namibia from reaching a higher score. Wheal took the wicket of J.P. Kotze in the first over and later got Wiese and Zane Green out, finishing with three wickets for 33 runs.
