The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the Pak U19 World Cup Squad, set to take place from January 19 to February 11, 2024, in South Africa.
Saad Baig will captain the 15-player Pakistan U19 squad during the event.
Ali Asfand and Mohammad Zeeshan are part of this squad, having also represented Pakistan in the previous ICC U19 World Cup in West Indies back in 2022.
Chairman of the Junior Selection Committee, Sohail Tanvir, expressed confidence in the squad’s capabilities, highlighting their balanced composition and potential for a strong performance at the World Cup.
The squad selection took into account the conditions in South Africa, where the pitches favor pace bowling. The team aims to cover all aspects needed for success.

The support staff includes various coaches and personnel assigned to guide and assist the team throughout the tournament.
The selected players will gather for a training camp scheduled from December 28, 2023, to January 6, 2024, in Lahore to prepare for the upcoming tournament.
