Pakistani Opponer Batsman Fakhar Zaman was ruled out from the World Cup matches against Australia and Afghanistan. On Friday, the pak vs sa clash will take place.
Zaman, who’s been dealing with a knee injury, couldn’t play in the matches against Australia and Afghanistan in the World Cup.
The left-handed opener has only had one chance to play for Pakistan in the World Cup so far, and that was against the Netherlands, where he scored 12 runs.
Whether Zaman will be fit for the upcoming match against South Africa will be decided after today’s training session.
It’s important to note that Pakistan’s hopes of reaching the semi-finals in the ICC World Cup 2023 have become challenging due to three consecutive losses.
Initially, Pakistan had a great start in the World Cup by winning against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka. However, they faced defeats against India, Australia, and Afghanistan, leaving them with four points from five matches.
Now, Pakistan must win all their remaining games, which include matches against South Africa, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England if they want to qualify for the semi-finals.
