Wahab Riaz, the newly-appointed chief selector revealed Pakistan’s squad for the upcoming tour of Australia. Pakistan tour Australia will start on December 14 and Shan Masood will captain the green side during the series.
The squad includes a mix of players, considering the demanding conditions in Australia. Former Pakistan fast bowler emphasized the focus on assembling a pace-heavy bowling lineup to adapt to the pitches and maintain flexibility in team combinations across all three Test matches.

Highlighting the addition of Saim Ayub to the squad, Riaz praised Ayub’s exceptional domestic performances, particularly in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy and Pakistan Cup. His selection aims to bolster Pakistan’s already strong batting lineup.
With Pakistan’s successful start in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 after their triumph in Sri Lanka, Riaz expressed optimism for continuing this momentum in Australia. He reiterated the efforts to equip the team with the necessary resources for success.
The squad is set to convene in Rawalpindi for a training camp starting November 22, and concluding on November 28 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium. Subsequently, the team will depart from Lahore on November 30.
Additionally, several players have been invited to participate in the training camp, including Arshad Iqbal, Kashif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Shahnawaz Dahani, Usama Mir, and Usman Qadir.
