Former West Indies batting legend and mentor of Quetta Gladiators, Sir Viv Richards, has praised fast bowler Mohammad Amir ahead of the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Viv Richards believes that Amir, who recently joined Quetta Gladiators after leaving Karachi Kings, will perform admirably in PSL 9.

“I have always admired Mohammad Amir, and I’m delighted to see him representing Quetta Gladiators,” Richards expressed to local media on Saturday.
He also expressed optimism for Quetta’s performance in the upcoming season after a few disappointing seasons.
“Quetta hasn’t been up to par in recent years, which is why some changes were necessary. I believe we’ve assembled a strong team for PSL 9,” he remarked.
Furthermore, Richards encouraged Sarfaraz Ahmed, who was replaced as captain by Rilee Rossouw, to showcase his batting skills during PSL 9.
“I have great respect for Sarfaraz Ahmed. With a new captain at the helm, I hope Sarfaraz can focus more on his batting performance in PSL 9,” he added.
Quetta Gladiators will kick off their PSL 9 campaign against Peshawar Zalmi tomorrow in Lahore.
