The youngster is determined to perform well for United and has set his sights on dismissing Babar and other top batters in the tournament. He credits the supportive team environment under new head coach Mike Hesson and captain Shadab Khan for boosting his confidence.

Ubaid also disclosed the shared ambition among the Shah brothers to represent Pakistan together. “We contribute to the bowling department, and our ultimate goal is to play for our country,” he stated.

Recently, Ubaid impressed in the U19 World Cup, finishing as Pakistan’s leading wicket-taker with 18 wickets in South Africa. PSL 9 will span across Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, with the final scheduled for March 18 at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium.

The tournament will feature two legs, with matches initially held in Multan and Lahore, followed by games in Rawalpindi and Karachi. The playoffs will be entirely hosted in Karachi.
