Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has shared the most Cricket Emotional moments of his career so far. Speaking on his X space (formerly Twitter), the 29-year-old expressed how the loss against Zimbabwe in the 2022 T20 World Cup deeply affected him.
Reflecting on various milestones in his career, Babar highlighted his debut and the moment he became captain as significant emotional moments. However, he admitted that the defeat against Zimbabwe during the World Cup was particularly devastating for him.
Aside from discussing emotional moments, Babar also reminisced about his favorite innings in both red-ball and white-ball cricket. He mentioned his century in Brisbane against Australia in 2019 and his 196-run innings in the second Test against Australia in Karachi in 2022 as his top Test innings. In white-ball cricket, he fondly recalled his 158 against England in Birmingham and his T20I centuries against South Africa and New Zealand.
Looking ahead, Babar expressed his ambitions of representing Pakistan in every upcoming World Cup and contributing to the team’s success. Currently playing for Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Babar has been in good form, scoring 157 runs in four innings with two half-centuries. He maintains an impressive average of 52.33 and a strike rate of 112.94.
