In Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9, Alex Hartley is working as Multan Sultans Bowling Coach. Alex confirmed that she is also fasting in Ramadan.
Alex Hartley is an English Women’s Cricketer, She is performing the role of blowing coach in the Pakistan Super League, her team has qualified for the PSL Final that will be played against Islamabad United in National Bank Stadium Karachi on March 18.
Alex said that all players and staff are fasting in the Holy month of Ramadan so she wanted to explore how you feel while fasting, without eating and drinking you are playing games. Hartley talked about this with BBC 5 Live Sport:
It is Ramadan and the boys are fasting. So I thought I really wanted to understand how they’re feeling when they get to the game. I think it is only fair that the players are doing it, so I should join them [in fasting]
She then tells about his experience of fasting by saying “It’s very hard”. She said your daily routine is going normal but it is challenging. Alex spoke about fasting and slo highlighted its daily routine during Ramadan and then she concluded.
We have just broken our fast now after we fasted all day. I have had some dates and some salad. We can eat till 4 am and then we don’t eat again till 6:40 pm the next day. It is hard, so hard, I go to bed at 4 am and sleep during the day, as our games start at 9 pm in the night
Multan Sultan Becomes the first team in Pakistan Super League history that go 4th time straight to the final of PSL.
Sultan will face Islamabad United in the PSL Season 9 final at National Bank Stadium Karachi on March 18.
