The PSL 9 draft is set for December 14 in Lahore. Maxwell, known for his powerful hitting, recently showcased his skills by scoring 104 runs off 48 balls, steering his team to victory in a crucial match against India during the third T20I on Tuesday (November 28).

While Maxwell’s potential entry into the PSL 9 draft could elevate the league, it’s important to note that these are just rumors. No official confirmation has been made yet.

There’s also speculation about Australian player David Warner possibly featuring in PSL 9. Alongside these rumors, several top foreign players such as England’s Dawid Malan and James Vince, Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai, South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen, and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan are confirmed for the PSL 9 draft.

Additionally, there’s talk of various players possibly switching teams in the upcoming PSL season, with names like Naseem Shah, Hasan Ali, and Imad Wasim circulating as potential movers.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already outlined the draft pick order for PSL 9. The first pick belongs to Quetta Gladiators, followed by Karachi Kings and Islamabad United. Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans will make the fourth and fifth picks, respectively, while Lahore Qalandars, winners of the last two editions, will close the first round with the sixth pick.

The PCB had earlier opened the registration window for foreign players. The PSL’s flagship event is tentatively scheduled to run from February 8 to March 24, 2024.
