In the one of the most awaited game of ICC World Cup 2024 in between AUS vs ENG was played today at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. In which defending champions england fall short by 36 runs. This was the 17th game of ICC World Cup 2024.
In the first innings of AUS vs ENG, the Aussies posted a total of 201 runs from which england was only able to make 165 runs with loss of 6 wickets.
England started well with openers Phil Salt and Jos Buttler putting together a 73-run partnership. Salt scored 37 runs off 23 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes before being bowled by Adam Zampa. Buttler made 42 runs off 27 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes before also falling to Zampa.
After the strong start, England’s middle order struggled to score quickly. Will Jacks scored 10 runs and Jonny Bairstow made 7 runs. Moeen Ali scored 25 runs off 15 balls before being dismissed by Pat Cummins.

Cummins was the best bowler for Australia, taking 2 wickets for 23 runs, and Zampa took 2 wickets for 28 runs.
Earlier, England won the toss and chose to bowl first. Australia’s openers, Travis Head and David Warner, started strong with a 70-run partnership in five overs. Head scored 34 runs off 18 balls and Warner made 39 runs off 16 balls. Mitchell Marsh scored 35 runs off 25 balls, Glenn Maxwell also made 35 runs off 25 balls, and Marcus Stoinis added a quick 30 runs off 17 balls.

Chris Jordan was England’s best bowler, taking 2 wickets for 44 runs. Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Liam Livingstone, and Moeen Ali each took a wicket.
