Champions Trophy 2025: Team India is Coming to Pakistan?

The Champions Trophy 2025 will be organized in Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recently received some positive updates from the Indian team.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) will share the trophy schedule with the other seven boards participating in the tournament next week.

A few weeks prior, the PCB submitted the plan to the ICC. After a thorough study, the governing body decided not to alter the PCB’s suggested schedule.

Joining Pakistan as its host nation, the Champions Trophy will feature Australia, England, and India. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and New Zealand will also be involved.

Lahore will host both the final and the matches involving India. India has not formally declared that it will not travel to Pakistan.

Having played in Pakistan, seven additional nations are eager to take part in the competition. It will be challenging for India to withdraw later if other nations confirm their participation.

The tournament will take place in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi from February 19 to March 9, according to the preliminary schedule.

Lahore will host seven games, including the championship game. Both the first game and the semifinals will take place in Karachi’s National Stadium. Three matches in all will take place in Karachi. There will be five matches, including the semi-final, in Rawalpindi.

The PCB headquarters at Gaddafi Stadium is being replaced with contemporary corporate boxes, however, the edifice as a whole will remain intact. The newly constructed changing rooms will remain in their current location. The Fazal Mahmood and Imran Khan Enclosure will have a larger capacity and be elevated from behind the current building.

At Pindi Stadium, in Karachi, and in Lahore, new digital screens will be built. Karachi’s National Stadium will have its building condition restored, and a new media center will be constructed.

The event will again happen after eight years, the last Champions Trophy was played in 2017 when the Pakistan Cricket Team clinched the title from their arch-rival India Cricket Team in the final. The Pakistan team won this title under the captaincy of Sarfaraz Ahmed.
