ICC Names Emerging and Associate T20I Cricketer Year 2023

The ICC, on Wednesday, unveiled the outstanding performers in the T20I cricketer year 2023, acknowledging players for their remarkable contributions with bat, ball, and all-round displays.

Suryakumar Yadav from India secured the title of ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year 2023 for his remarkable performances, accumulating 733 runs in 17 innings with an impressive average of 48.86 and a striking rate of 155.95.

Defeating competitors like Sikandar Raza, Alpesh Ramjani, and Mark Chapman, Yadav claimed the award for the second consecutive year. Meanwhile, West Indies captain Hayley Matthews earned the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year 2023, excelling with both bat and ball, scoring 700 runs and taking 19 wickets.

New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra emerged as the ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2023, showcasing his talent at the ICC World Cup 2023. With impressive stats across ODIs and T20Is, Ravindra outperformed competitors like Gerald Coetzee, Dilshan Madushanka, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Additionally, Bas de Leede from the Netherlands claimed the ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year 2023 for his stellar performances in the ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifiers and the main tournament, securing 31 wickets at 26.41 and scoring 424 runs.

The awards celebrate the exceptional achievements of cricketers in the T20I format, recognizing their outstanding efforts throughout the year.
