ICC ODI Batting Ranking Babar Azam Still on top 1

In the ICC ODI Batting Ranking, Pakistan Skipper has maintained its position. Babar Azam captain of the Green Shirts is still on NO.1.

Babar Azam is at the top of the ranking with 836 ratings.

However, India Opener Batsman Shubman Gill is in the second spot and closely followed by Babar with 818 ratings. Gill recently battled dengue but made a comeback in the India vs. Pakistan World Cup fixture.

In addition to these developments, South Africa’s Quinton de Kock advanced one spot in the rankings, surpassing his teammate Rassie van der Dussen. This improvement in ranking came after de Kock scored two centuries in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s opening pair of Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman, who were previously ranked within the top 10 batters, have now been ranked 10th and 13th, respectively.

Fakhar Zaman dropped out of the top 10 rankings due to a poor run of form, failing to surpass the 30-run mark in his last eight innings.

On the other hand, Babar Azam stands out as the only batter to hold a position in the top five rankings in both T20I and Test cricket.

In T20I, he is ranked fourth with a rating of 734, while in Test cricket, he also holds the fourth spot with a rating of 829.

Regarding the bowler’s rankings, Shaheen Shah Afridi is the sole representative from Pakistan in the top 10 of the Test rankings. However, there are no bowlers from Pakistan in the T20I and ODI rankings.

Earlier this year, Pakistan achieved the top spot in the ODI rankings for the first time in their history under the leadership of Babar Azam.
