Imam-ul-Haq Wedding Celebrations Set to Commence This Week

Pakistan opener, Imam-ul-Haq, is stepping into a new phase of life after the ICC World Cup 2023.

His wedding celebrations kick off on November 23 in Lahore, with the Nikkah ceremony set for November 25, followed by the Valima reception on November 26.

The festivities begin with a Qawwali night on November 23, although the performing group’s name remains a secret. The 27-year-old cricketer, fresh from his World Cup stint in India, is expected to don a Prince coat for his special day.

The bride-to-be seems to have been revealed by designer HSY. An image of Anmol Mehmood was shared on his Instagram page with the caption “Imam’s Anmol” in Urdu, tagging both the cricketer and his future wife.

Expectedly, cricketing stars like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, and others from the national team are likely to grace the joyous occasion of Imam-ul-Haq. Invitations will also extend to former players and management personnel.

Imam-ul-Haq and Faheem Ashraf, both part of the 18-member Test squad for the Australia tour, have received permission to miss the pre-tour training camp in Rawalpindi. This exemption comes as they prepare for their upcoming weddings.

The training camp, set to run from November 22 to November 28, holds significant importance for the squad’s preparations. However, Team Director Mohammad Hafeez has granted Imam and Faheem permission to focus on their wedding celebrations. They are expected to rejoin the squad in Lahore on November 30, just before the team departs for Australia.
