Lahore Qalandars key bowler Sikandar Raza was fined during a game in ongoing PSL 9. This incident took place on Monday when Sikandar broke a rule in the game.
When a game was happening between Quetta Gladiators vs Lahore Qalandars at the National Bank stadium in Karachi. When Zimbabwe’s all-rounder was fined 10% of that game fee for breaking a Level 1 breach of the PSL code of conduct.
The news was confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a press conference, PCB Stated that:
“Sikandar, on three different events during the game, raised his arms, shook his head, and gestured that the delivery should have been called a wide ball, leading to a violation of article 2.8, which deals with a player showing conflict at an umpire’s decision during a PSL game.
Furthermore, PCB added:
“On-field umpires Chris Gaffaney and Rashid Riaz leveled the charge against Sikandar Raza while match referee Ali Naqvi imposed the fine.”
Yesterday, Pacer from Islamabad United Nassem Shah was also fined 10% of the game fee by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Basically, Pacer Naseem Shah was fined after he kicked stumps used in the game on that day against the Sultans after they got a victory.
The fine was allotted in Rawalpindi cricket stadium to break level 1 breach PSl code of conduct for Players and Palyer supporting panel during a thrilling clash between two psl giants Islamabad and Multan on Sunday.
Naseem was charged for violating Article 2.2 which deals with abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings. Naseem had kicked the stumps after the final ball of Multan Sultans’ innings.
PCB further added:
“Since Naseem pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the sanctions proposed by match referee Roshan Mahanama, there was no need for a formal hearing.
The Charge was also imposed on some game handlers
“The charge was imposed by on-field umpires Ruchira Palliyaguruge and Muhammad Asif.”
