Naseem Shah, the young pacer, got injured during the Asia Cup back in September. He had to undergo surgery in the United Kingdom for his recovery.
Now, Islamabad United has shared a fitness update on Naseem injury, their recent addition to the team after he moved from Quetta Gladiators.
They mentioned on their official social media that Naseem is regularly practicing in the nets and his recovery is going quite well.
Pakistan’s Chief Selector Wahab Riaz expressed hope that by the start of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 on February 17, Naseem would be fit and all set to play for Islamabad United.
However, reports suggest that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) might not allow Naseem to participate in the entire PSL season following his comeback from injury.
After his injury in the Asia Cup, Naseem had surgery in the UK and spent two months there for rehabilitation and initial training. The PCB covered his medical expenses, and he received specialized care from a team of medical experts during this period in the UK.
