Cricket Australia has introduced the ‘Pakistan Bay’ ahead of the first Test in Perth, aiming to boost fans’ experience at the upcoming match.
The Benaud Qadir Trophy’s first Test kicks off at Perth Stadium on December 14. Cricket Australia mentioned a surge in ticket sales for the West Test, with over 18,000 tickets already sold for the anticipated clash between the teams.
Perth Stadium is carving out two zones near the Pakistan dressing room, dedicated solely as the ‘Pakistan Bay’. It’s a spot where Pakistan fans can come together, show support, and create a vibrant atmosphere for their team.
To be more inclusive, the Pakistan Bay will be an alcohol-free zone, fostering a family-friendly environment. Fans can also enjoy Tea, Halal, and Desi food options, making it a more communal space.
Pakistani cricketers Hasan Ali and Saim Ayub encourage fans to join a walk organized by Cricket Australia on the match’s first day. The walk starts from Sailani Avenue and leads fans to the Perth Stadium.
Special tickets for the Pakistan Bay are available at a unique price lower than the standard AUD 30 West Test ticket. Kids under four can enter for free, while tickets for children aged four to fifteen start at AUD 10.
The Perth Test, dubbed ‘The West Test’, introduces an exciting new in-stadium experience inspired by the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) ‘The West Test Hill’.
The Hill comprises three tiers and accommodates up to 500 patrons. It includes a family area with games for children and shaded seating for fans to relax and savor the first Test of the summer.
