Pakistan Cricket Team to Conduct Training Camp in Kakul

The Pakistan men’s cricket team will have a training camp at Kakul, led by the Pakistan Army. This was announced by Mohsin Naqvi, the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) while talking to the players in Islamabad during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9.

The Kakul camp will take place before the T20I series against New Zealand from March 25th to April 8th. This reminds us of 2016 when a similar camp was held before the Test tour to England.

Naqvi stressed the importance of fairness in team selection. He made it clear that players will be chosen based on their skills, not on anyone’s personal preferences.

He assured the players that deserving ones will get their chance. However, if fairness is compromised, the selection committee will face consequences.

He also emphasized respecting star players and selecting them based on their performance. He made it clear that no one should be asked to make sacrifices if they are playing well.
