Pakistan U19 World Cup squad has reached South Africa for the upcoming tournament, starting on January 19. Saad Baig is leading the team placed in Group D alongside Afghanistan, New Zealand, and Nepal. Pakistan has a good track record, winning the competition twice in 2004 and 2006.

“Our aim is to win the World Cup, and all teams are tough competitors. We won’t take any team lightly and will play with a well-thought-out strategy,” Saad said.

“As the U19 team captain, it’s an honor for me. We’ll play as a united team, expecting the best from every player. Learning from our mistakes is crucial,” Saad stated.
The 15-player squad includes Ali Asfand and Mohammad Zeeshan, who had previously represented Pakistan in the U19 World Cup held in West Indies in January-February 2022.
Pakistan’s schedule includes matches against Afghanistan, Nepal, and New Zealand on January 20, 24, and 27, respectively, all in East London.
