Security Plans Fortify PSL Cities:
Over 17,000 police officers will be on duty across Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, the three cities hosting the matches. This massive force includes three army companies, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
Lahore Leads the Charge:
With 6,936 officers, Lahore takes the lead in security presence. Multan follows with 5,700, and Rawalpindi deploys 4,538, all working together to manage traffic, team movements, and even signal jammers during matches.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Wednesday reaffirmed the commitment of the law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of the public during the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9.

Eyes from Above and Below:
Helicopters will patrol the skies, while Safe Cities’ cameras and additional ones along team routes and stadiums will keep a watchful eye on the ground 24/7. Mobile command vans and camera-equipped drones add another layer of vigilance.
Elite Teams on Patrol:
Keep an eye out for the 20 Dolphin and 20 Elite Force teams patrolling key routes, ensuring everyone’s safety.
State Guest Treatment for Players:
All PSL teams will be treated like VIPs, receiving top-notch security throughout the tournament.
The Matches You Can’t-Miss:
- The opening match features the defending champions Lahore Qalandars taking on Islamabad United on February 17th.
- Mark your calendars for the highly anticipated clashes between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings on February 24th and March 9th.
