The move came through a significant trade with Multan Sultans. Shan was traded for valuable picks in the Diamond and Silver categories, along with left-arm wrist spinner Faisal Akram. Now, Shan Masood Plays the Karachi Kings Captain role.

Karachi Kings secured Multan Sultans’ fourth pick in the first Diamond round.

Shan Masood is now geared up to lead the Kings in their pursuit of a second PSL title in the upcoming season.

Recent days have seen some major player trades, with notable names like Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Naseem Shah switching teams unexpectedly.

Karachi Kings made a surprising move by trading their former captain and last season’s Player of the Tournament, Imad Wasim, to Islamabad United for Hasan Ali.

It’s worth noting that the PCB released a list of retained players by all six franchises, with several big names not being held onto by their respective teams. Karachi Kings didn’t retain star pacer Mohammad Amir, Islamabad United released power hitter Asif Ali, Quetta Gladiators didn’t retain off-spinner Mohammad Nawaz, and Peshawar Zalmi sent pacer Arshad Iqbal to the draft.

In an exchange, Islamabad United traded their first pick in the Platinum round to Quetta Gladiators for Naseem Shah along with players Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Wasim Junior.

Continuing the trade, Quetta Gladiators brought back Rilee Russouw in a swap deal with Multan Sultans, where Iftikhar, along with the first pick in Platinum, went to the 2021 PSL winners.

Multan Sultans now hold the first pick in both the Platinum and Silver rounds.
