The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) finally announced the Pakistan World Cup Squad on Friday, the team will play under the captaincy of Babar Azam.
In the Pakistan World Cup Squad, renowned names like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Amir, Fakhar Zaman, and Iftikhar Ahmed are also mentioned. West Indies and USA will host this edition of T20 World Cup Squad.
Other emerging stars like Saim Ayub, Azam Khan, Usman Khan, and Abbas Afraid are also mentioned in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) list. These emerging stars will start their campaign as their first-ever World Cup.
Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim who recently took their retirement back from international cricket just for this mega event are also on the list of Pakistan Squad. It is very important to note that there is no reserve player for the World Cup has been confirmed.

On the announcement of Pakistan Squad in a press release the Pakistan Cricket Board highlighted some important things. PCB stated that:
“This is an extremely talented and balanced side that has a mixture of youth and experience. These players have been playing together for some time and look well prepared and settled for next month’s event.”
“Haris Rauf is fully fit and bowling well in the nets. It would have been nice if he had gotten an outing at Headingley, but we remain confident that he will continue to maintain an upward trajectory in the upcoming matches, as he will have an important role to play along with other strike bowlers in the T20 World Cup.”
Pakistan is in Group A of the event, alongside India, Ireland, Canada, and the USA.

It should be mentioned that the T20 World Cup will include 55 games spread over nine locations in the USA and the West Indies.
Kensington Oval in Barbados; Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad; Providence Stadium in Guyana; Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua; Darren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia; and Arnos Vale Stadium in St Vincent are the locations in the West Indies.
