Could Saim Ayub be the Next All-Rounder for the Pakistan Cricket Team?

Pakistan Star Batsman Saim Ayub, who is well known for his no-look sixes is currently part of Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9.

The 22-year-old star has bowled in five innings, and taken 3 wickets with an economy of 9.00. He has taken some big and important wickets in the PSL 9, In the fixture against Islamabad United the off-spinner Saim Ayub bowled the Opener batsman from Islamabad United Alex Hales on March 4.

During a conference with news channels, Saim Ayub revealed that he has been bowling for the last 2 to 3 years in the nets. Saim Ayub stated that:

“The opportunity to bowl came in this season. I try to fulfill whatever responsibility is demanded of me and try to give my best. I have nothing to lose in bowling so I bowled openly. The experience of powerplay in batting has helped me in planning while bowling.”

However, Saim Ayub also says that batting is his first priority:

“My focus is not bowling since batting is my priority but wherever there is an opportunity, I will also play a role through bowling.”

Siam said that he is learning a lot from the skipper Babar Azam and enjoying batting with Star players in the cricket world.

“A lot of guidance comes from Babar Bahi. Sometimes I do things he will ask me to stop, like if he says not to play shots, I will go for it and when he says go for it, I will not. But opening with him is exciting” he added.

Saim ended by saying his goal of scoring a century in T20. He currently has a highest score of 92.
