Check: PSL Points Table for Season 9 and Remaining Matches

Peshawar Zalmi, led by Babar Azam, hasn’t had the best start in PSL 9, losing both of their matches. Therefore, the addition of a quality bowler like Naveen-ul-Haq will surely lift their spirits.

In the latest match of the PSL, Karachi Kings secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over Peshawar Zalmi at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Karachi’s star player, Kieron Pollard, played a crucial role in the win, guiding his team to chase down the target of 155 runs comfortably.

Karachi Kings began their chase cautiously, keeping an eye on the required run rate, with Pollard leading the charge with an impressive 49 runs off just 21 balls, including eight boundaries. On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi struggled in the first innings, losing wickets early on and finding themselves at 40-3 in just 5.1 overs. However, skipper Babar Azam steadied the ship with a brilliant knock of 72 runs off 51 balls, forming a crucial partnership of 68 runs with Rovman Powell, who contributed 39 runs.

Ultimately, despite Babar Azam’s efforts, Karachi Kings’ bowlers, led by Mir Hamza with figures of 3-28, Hasan Ali with 3-30, and Daniel Sams with 2-28, managed to restrict Peshawar Zalmi to a total of 154 all out in 19.5 overs. In response, Karachi Kings comfortably chased down the target in just 16.5 overs, with Pollard and James Vince leading the charge.

In conclusion, Peshawar Zalmi will aim for better results in the upcoming matches of the PSL with the inclusion of Naveen-ul-Haq.
