Imad Wasim Awaits NOC Approval for Participation in T10 League

All-rounder Imad Wasim faces uncertainty in obtaining a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to participate in the upcoming T10 League set to begin in Abu Dhabi on November 28.

Sources reveal that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to grant Imad the NOC due to their desire for all players to join the upcoming National T20 Cup.

A reliable source within the Islamabad team, one of the 18 regions participating in the National T20 Cup, confirmed that Imad won’t join the squad until he receives clarity regarding the NOC for the T10 League.

A PCB source mentioned that the matter regarding the NOC will be clarified upon the return of Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf. Ashraf is currently in India for an ICC meeting alongside the World Cup 2023 final, where Australia clinched their sixth title.

Imad is part of the Deccan Gladiators for the T10 League, and the franchise is eagerly awaiting PCB‘s approval for his participation.

“The NOC hasn’t been issued yet. We’re waiting for the PCB’s decision” stated a Gladiators’ spokesperson to GeoSuper.tv.

The Gladiators’ first match is against the New York Strikers on November 28.

Pakistan’s experienced all-rounder Shoaib Malik and rookie wicketkeeper Mohammad Haris have already opted out of the T10 League to prioritize playing in the national tournament.

Both Haris and Malik were contracted with the T10 team New York Strikers.
