Imad Wasim Joins Islamabad, Hasan Ali Moves to Karachi Kings

In a major move ahead of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season, Imad Wasim, the skipper of Karachi Kings, has shifted to Islamabad United, while Hasan Ali has made his move to the 2020 PSL champions, confirmed by the league.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Imad Wasim, who led Karachi Kings since their inception, will now represent Islamabad United in the ninth edition of the tournament.

He was picked by Islamabad United in the Platinum category after being recognized as the All-Rounder of the tournament in the previous season.

Hasan Ali, in the Diamond category, is making the switch to Karachi Kings. This trade has also involved the exchange of picks between Karachi Kings and Islamabad United.

This trade signifies significant changes as the PSL 9 draft approaches. Imad Wasim’s departure from Karachi, after eight seasons, marks a historic shift to join the 2016 PSL champions.

Imad Wasim’s outstanding performance in the last PSL season with 404 runs and nine wickets in 10 matches earned him the Player of the Tournament title.

Karachi Kings bid a heartfelt farewell to Imad, acknowledging his role in leading the team to victories and creating cherished memories.

Meanwhile, Islamabad United also extended best wishes to Hasan Ali, who debuted for the team in PSL 7. They acknowledged his passion and remarkable performances, bidding him farewell as he embarks on a new journey with Karachi Kings in PSL 9.

The PCB has already disclosed the pick order for the Player Draft of PSL 9.

Quetta Gladiators will make the first pick, followed by Karachi and Islamabad United. Subsequent picks will be made by Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, and Lahore Qalandars, completing the first round.

This trade has set the stage for an exciting PSL 9, with teams making strategic moves ahead of the upcoming season.
