The PSL 2024 draft date has been confirmed. It’s set to happen on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
PSL 9 is tentatively scheduled to run from 8 February to 24 March 2024.
The pick order for the draft’s first round in the Platinum category was sorted based on the previous season’s standings. Quetta Gladiators will have the first pick, following an inverse order from last season’s rankings.

The local player category renewals for the upcoming tournament were finalized on November 10, upgrading categories for nine players. Foreign player registrations opened on October 25, drawing interest from top players worldwide.

News has surfaced about Mohammad Amir leaving Karachi Kings and moving to Quetta Gladiators. Furthermore, talks suggest that Karachi Kings are in discussions with Multan Sultans regarding a trade involving batter Shan Masood.
Strong indications hint at Shan Masood becoming the captain for Karachi Kings in HBL PSL 9. There’s also talk about Tayyab Tahir being traded to Multan Sultans as part of Karachi Kings’ strategy to strengthen their squad.
