Rizwan’s T20I Series Record Overtaken by Phil Salt

England’s opening batsman Phil Salt has made history by surpassing Pakistan’s wicketkeeper, Mohammad Rizwan, for the most runs scored in a bilateral T20I series.

During the recent T20I series against the West Indies, Phil Salt showcased incredible form, consistently delivering outstanding performances with the bat. Even though his exceptional run-scoring couldn’t secure England a series win, it did earn him the honor of breaking Rizwan’s record.

In a thrilling series between England and West Indies, Salt’s ability to consistently find gaps and play aggressive shots stood out. His innings were defined by accuracy, power, and a wide range of shots, keeping the opposition bowlers under pressure.

Salt’s remarkable scores of 40, 25, 109*, 119, and 38 not only highlighted his individual brilliance but also underlined his vital role at the top of England’s batting lineup.

His capacity to anchor the innings and accelerate when needed became pivotal in England’s comeback during the five-match series.

Despite trailing 2-0 initially, England bounced back to level the T20I leg, ultimately losing the deciding match by four wickets on December 21.

Recognizing his outstanding batting performances, Salt was awarded the ‘Player of the Series’ title.
