In Today PSL Match, Multan Sultans clinched a thrilling victory against Lahore Qalandars at the Multan Cricket Stadium. It was a nail-biting meeting where Multan chased down the target of 167 runs in 19 overs, thanks to a brilliant innings by Iftikhar Ahmed, who smashed 24 runs in the 19th over and remained unbeaten at 34 off just 11 balls.

The chase was helped by Skipper Mohammad Rizwan, who played an important innings, scoring 82 runs off 59 balls. However, Multan faced an early loss when Dawid Malan was dismissed without scoring any runs, Same by Reeza Hendricks who managed just 9 runs before getting caught behind off Shaheen Afridi’s bowling. Yasir Khan also fell out for 8 runs.

Despite the early wickets, Rizwan formed a crucial partnership with David Willey, adding 75 runs for the fourth wicket. After Rizwan’s departure, Iftikhar Ahmed took charge and played a brilliant innings, guiding Multan to their third win in the competition.

Earlier in the match, Lahore Qalandars posted a good total on the board despite losing Sahibzada Farhan early in the innings. Rassie van der Dussen played an important innings, scoring 54 runs off 37 balls, while Fakhar Zaman contributed 41 runs before getting dismissed in the 16th over.

All-rounders Sikandar Raza and Jahandad Khan provided valuable contributions towards the end of the innings, helping Lahore post a challenging total. Carlos Brathwaite’s late cameo added further to their score.

In the bowling department, Mohammad Ali starred for Multan Sultans, picking up two wickets, while Abbas Afridi and Usama Mir also chipped in with a wicket each.
