Kieron Pollard, Karachi’s star player, swiped the show with his impressive batting performance, guiding his team to chase down the 155-run target comfortably.

The Kings started their chase cautiously, with opener Mohammad Akhlaq playing a quick innings of 24 runs off 13 balls before getting out to Luke Wood in the fifth over.

Following Akhlaq’s dismissal, batsman Shoaib Malik started the innings with a crucial knock of 29 runs off 29 balls when the Kings were at 40-2 in 4.3 overs.

James Vince and Pollard then took control, guiding Karachi to their first victory in PSL 9. Vince scored 38 runs off 30 balls, while Pollard beat 49 runs off just 21 balls.

Wood took two wickets for Peshawar Zalmi, while Waqar Salamkheli managed to get one.

In the first innings, Karachi Kings’ bowlers caused problems for Peshawar Zalmi’s batsmen early on. Despite a great effort from skipper Babar Azam, who scored a crucial 68-run partnership with Rovman Powell, Zalmi could only post 154 runs before being bowled out in 19.5 overs.

Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali impressed with three wickets each for Karachi Kings, while Daniel Sams claimed two wickets. Mohammad Nawaz and Shoaib Malik also contributed with one wicket each.
