The USA, as hosts along with the West Indies, will mark a significant moment for global cricket, marking the USA’s first global tournament appearance since 2005’s Champions Trophy.

In the 2024 tournament, teams will compete in two phases before the knockouts, differing from the First Round/Super 12 format in the previous editions.

The top two teams in each of the four groups will advance to the Super Eights phase. Here, the remaining sides will be divided into two groups of four. The top two teams from each group will then progress to the semi-finals.

How Teams Qualified for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024?

Hosts West Indies and the USA claimed the initial two spots. The next ten teams secured their spots based on performances at the 2022 edition and rankings until the November 14 cut-off.

The top eight teams from Australia (top four in each Super 12 group) earned spots for the 2024 tournament. Afghanistan and Bangladesh, positioned well on the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings by November 14, 2022, also qualified.

Regional Qualifiers Determine Remaining Teams
