Mohammad Amir Cricket Pakistan pacer is facing a delay in their visa ahead of the upcoming series against Ireland and then England. Pakistan’s team under the captaincy of Babar Azam is ready to compete against Ireland in the three matches T20I series. The series between pakistan vs Ireland will start from 10th May.

Pakistan Team is ready to land in Irish country for the series. However, the experienced pacer Mohammad Amir will not go along with the team as he is waiting for his visa approval from the big authorities.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sources, Mohammad Amir cricket Pakistan star is facing delay because of his jail time in a spot-fixing case in 2010.

Amir’s ban and imprisonment following the 2010 spot-fixing conviction have come back to haunt him. The same problem caused Amir’s immigration problems earlier in 2018, but the board is certain that it will be fixed quickly. According to the source, Amir might travel to Ireland in the next two or three days to join Pakistan. From the PTI:

Because of the spot-fixing case of 2010 and his subsequent jail term and ban his visa is still being processed. We are hopeful he will get his visa in a day or two and he can join them later 

Pakistan needs to use this tour, along with the England tour, to help the Men in Green become ready for the 2024 T20 World Cup. They will also be selecting their 15-man team from these series for the major competition. The team is hopeful that Amir’s visa problems are swiftly handled and that he won’t have any problems obtaining a US visa, as it could be a serious setback for the defending champs.
