Imad Wasim is ready to play again for the Pakistan team and will perform national duties if the selectors want him back.

Imad Wasim speaks with local media that:

“I made a name for myself while playing for Pakistan and if my country needs me, I will be available. If not, I have no issues with that.”

Imad also shares what the Pakistan T20I skipper thinks about his retirement

“Shaheen called me after I retired but I told him that we will talk after PSL.”

Last Year November, When Zaka Ashraf was Chairman of PCB, Imad Wasim announced his retirement from International cricket.


PSL Season 9: Islamabad United Defeats Quetta, One Step Closer to PSL Final


Imad is playing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9 from Islamabad United, In Elimination game 1, Imad Wasim’s brilliant spell of 3-12 in four overs helps United to take early wickets against Quetta in PSL 9 Eliminator. On this, Imad said:

“I think what we saw in the last few games, it was spinning, holding a bit, the thing I did well was to bowl really slow, it was gripping and it went well. I tried to bowl more slow balls than arm balls and mixed it up…worked for me…we restricted them and took wickets which is the best thing, if you do one of these right, you will win because powerplay is very important.” 

It must be noted that Islamabad United defeated Quetta Gladiators by 39 runs. The win saw United making way to the second Eliminator where they will take on Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi tomorrow at the same venue.

Islmabad united Beat Quetta by 39 runs. After that victory, Islamabad moved to the 2nd Elimination game against Peshawar where united Haider Ali and Imad once again made a brilliant 98-run partnership and took the team towards victory.

Islamabad will face Multan Sultan in the PSL 9 final at National Bank Stadium on 18 March.
