Islamabad United becomes the PSL 9 winner after defeating Multan Sultans in a last ball thrilling game at National Bank Stadium Karachi.

Shadab Khan was leading the United side, this was 3rd time Islamabad won the PSL Champion title. Islamabad won the title in 2016, 2018, and 2024 and is set to become the most successful team in PSL history.

This final game thriller went on the last ball where the match runs were equal and United needed only 1 score on 1 ball. Hunain Shah took the responsibility and smartly played the shot at gap point for four runs.

PSL 9 Winning moments:

Guptill made a brilliant 50 runs at 32 balls a small mistake from Azam Khan sent him back to the dressing room, when Guptill got out united were at 102 runs in 12.5 overs.

After Guptill, Azam Khan also moved back to the pavilion, and Imad Wasim took charge and emerged as a man of the match he made an important partnership with Naseem Shah. Pacer added a valuable run for United and a six by Naseem Shah to Iftikhar Ahmed brought the game back.

In the first innings, the Sultans faced a sudden attack when skipper Rizwan got out by Naseem Shah, but unfortunately, Naseem Shah threw a free hit delivery by crossing the line and Rizwan got a second chance.

In the second over, Imad Wasim successfully managed to out 2 Sultan batter first Yasir Khan and then David Willey in the second over.

After an earlier loss of 2 wickets, Rizwan and Usman Khan (Player of the Tournament) both made a crucial 53-run partnership. As the game was going in Multan favours Rizwan out in 10th  over at 26 runs.

After Rizwan’s players kept getting out, Usman Khan stayed on the field and made good runs against the pacers. Usman Khan made 57 runs on 40 balls as skipper of Islamabad United dismissed him.

After Usman Khan, the prediction was Multan would not cross 130 runs they had one 1 wicket left but Iftikhar Ahmed stayed till the end and played some amazing shorts.

Iftikhar Ahmed made 32 runs on 20 balls which includes three fours and three sixes. this power hitting from Iftikhar made everyone and made the final more interesting.

PSL 9 Winner Islamabad United, named this title for 3rd time and became the team to win the most titles. In this final game, Imad Wasim did great batting and created history by taking 5 wickets. Skipper Shadab Khan took 3 wickets.
