Hasan Ali faces finger surgery during LPL 2023

Hasan Ali, a right-arm bowler who played for Dambulla Aura in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) playoff match against Galle Titans, had finger surgery due to an injury.

Despite having a finger injury, Hasan Ali could bowl three overs and take one wicket, Tabraiz Shamsi.

Hasan Ali’s participation in the current LPL season stop by his injury, however, as he would be unable to participate in the LPL final.

Hasan shared the news on his official Twitter account. He made it clear that he will no longer play in the current LPL season and asked supporters to pray for a quick recovery.

“Saddened to share that I suffered a finger injury during our qualifier yesterday and had to go through a surgery for it. A pretty unfortunate end to a great tournament for me personally however will like to look at the positives and thank my team management and medical staff for looking after me. Big thank you to all the fans for supporting me and would now request you all to pray for my recovery,” .

Dambulla Aura won the opening game of the playoff round by beating the Galle Titans, sealing their place in the championship game.

The Galle Titans decided to bat first and after scoring 146 runs in the first inning.

The 29-year-old showed immense skills and courage while being injured. He bowled superbly, finishing a three-over performance in which he allowed only 28 runs and removed Tabraiz Shamsi (0).

Dambulla Aura’s turn to look for the target came easily, with only four wickets lost and two balls remaining.
