The ICC has sent this schedule out to cricket boards for their thoughts and approval.

The confirmed schedule for this year’s ICC T20 World Cup brings Pakistan and India together in the same group. Happening from June 4 to June 30 in the United States and the West Indies, the tournament features 20 teams initially divided into four groups.

Sources reveal that Pakistan and India will share their group with Ireland, Canada, and the USA. Most matches for this group will unfold in the USA.

Pakistan’s journey begins against the USA on June 6, followed by the much-anticipated Pakistan-India match in New York on June 9. Then, they face Canada on June 11 in New York, and their match against Ireland is set for June 16 in Florida.

After this first phase, the top two teams from each group proceed to the Super Eight stage, split into two groups. The ICC has circulated the schedule to cricket boards and broadcasters for their feedback and approval, expecting to release the final schedule soon.

Given the time zone differences between the USA and the sub-continent, there’s talk about potentially rescheduling the Pakistan-India match. New York being ten hours behind Pakistan could mean a late-night game there. To avoid impacting viewership, there’s a consideration to move the match to June 8.
