Rohit Sharma the Captian of the Indian team decided to bowl first. However, the Pakistani Skipper also wants to bowl first.

Rohit Sharma, who had previously scored 140 runs against Pakistan in the 2019 World Cup, once again showed his batting prowess. He emerged as the top scorer for the victorious team, contributing 86 runs from 63 balls. His quick innings featured an unforgettable 12 boundaries.

Shreyas Iyer played a significant role as the second-highest scorer for the winning side, adding 53 runs to the total.

Whether it was in the bowling department or with the bat, the day was dominated by the Indian team. During the first innings, the Indian pacers dismantled the Pakistani batting lineup, limiting them to a total of 191 runs.

All five key bowlers, namely Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Hardik Pandya, contributed with two wickets each.

Pakistan’s batting line gives a good start. They were at 152 runs with the loss of 2 wickets. but, after this India’s bowling line showed their exceptional skills and knocked out the green team one after the other on 191 runs.

Pakistan’s middle order, comprising Saud Shakeel, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, and Shadab Khan, struggled to reach double-digit scores.

India has maintained a perfect record, winning all three of their matches in the World Cup. Their upcoming match is against Bangladesh in Pune on October 19. Meanwhile, the Green Shirts will face Australia next in Bengaluru on October 20.

The challenges may intensify for Babar Azam’s Pakistan as their next three matches are against Australia, Afghanistan, and the formidable South Africa. Notably, the matches against Afghanistan and South Africa will be played on the challenging wicket of Chennai.
