In the fifth match of PSL 9, Multan Sultan clinched the victory against Islamabad United in the last-over finish. The Victory marked Multan Sultan’s 2nd consecutive win in the tournament.

In the plan of 145 runs target, Multan Sultan made a good start as the early dismissals of the opener Dawid Malan on duck, Skipper Rizwan played a good innings that sultan were looking for 43 runs on 33 balls including six 4’s and two big 6’s.

South Africa Batsman show consistency in performance and played an innings of 58 runs.

All-Rounder batsman of Pkaistan Team Iftikhar Ahmed took charge to chase the target, Guide Sultans to victory on the last bowl of 20th over. Although, he made 18 runs on 17 balls.

Star bowler Nassem Shah, Shadak Khan, Imad wasim and Tymal Mils all take 1 wickets for the united.

Earlier, Mohammad Ali and Abbas Afridi impressed with three wickets each as they limited Islamabad United to 144 runs.

Agha Salman and Jordan Cox built a strong partnership, recovering from early setbacks to add 68 runs in 48 balls. Cox scored 41 runs off 28 balls, including two boundaries and two sixes, before getting dismissed lbw by Usama Mir while attempting a switch hit.

Salman top-scored with a steady innings of 52 runs off 43 balls, hitting three boundaries and two sixes.

In the last over bowled by Mohammad Ali, the final three wickets fell, with Naseem Shah getting run out on the last ball, concluding Islamabad United’s innings at 144 runs.

Afridi and Ali ended with bowling figures of 3-29 and 3-19, respectively, while Mir claimed two wickets.
