According to reports, betting companies offer Shan Masood to promote them, and for that Shan Masood needs to feature their company logo on his shirt collar. Shan refused to feature the Dafabet logo on his Yorkshire shirt collar. Shan recently had a two-year partnership agreement with the franchise. The betting company deal includes displaying the company logo on his shirt in all cricket formats.

In countries such as England, Australia, and several others, gambling is legally permitted. Dafabet previously sponsored Pakistan cricket as ‘Dafa News,’ using surrogate advertising tactics. However, due to stricter government regulations, surrogate advertising in Pakistan cricket has been banned.

During the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan also spoke out on this issue and used stickers to cover the controversial logo.

According to sources, Shan Masood refused to promote the betting company; he had communicated his stance to county authorities, and Yorkshire has honored his request.

The English Cricket Board (ECB) and county teams deeply respect the religious beliefs of non-English players.
