After Sri Lanka’s Victory in Test games against Bangladesh, has made some changes in the ICC World Test Championship points table.

Due to Sri Lanka’s Victory Pakistan’s position has improved little in the ICC World Test Championship points table.

Sri Lanka clinched a brilliant victory against the Tigers by a big margin of 328 runs. With this victory, Sri Lanka’s Position in the Standings also improved.

 

This result helped Lankans to up their position in WTC Standing and share the 6th spot with Bangladesh. Earlier, Sri Lanka was in the last spot with 0 points and Bangladesh was in the fourth place with 12 points after taking part in 2 games and with a consistent average of 50.

Sri Lanka Gained 12 points in 3 games with a percentage of 33.33. However, Bangladesh is also in the 6th spot with percentage of 33.33. so, both teams are sharing the same spot with the same percentage.

Pakistan National Cricket Team also moved up from 5th to 4th spot batting West Indies in the table with a percentage of 36.36 in the ICC World Test Championship points table. The West Indies team is in the 5th spot with a percentage equal to Bangladeshi and Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh was on 47 runs with the loss of 5 wickets when Mominul Haque and taijul Islam were on the field. But in the third over of the day Srilanka Kasun Rajitha takes the wickets of Taijul Islam on 6 runs.

Mehidy Hasan Mirza maintained a partnership of 66 runs before Rajitha dismissed Mirza on 33 runs. On Lunch Break, they were on 129 runs with only 1 wicket left.

Haque distinguished himself as the lone warrior, remaining unbeaten on 87, while Bangladesh was defeated. The two teams will reconvene for the final showdown of the tour, the second Test in Chattogram, commencing on 30th March.
