Pakistan all-rounder player Imad Wasim Retirement decision for T20I Cricket has been announced. Imad is taking back retirement from the T20I format ahead of World Cup 2024.

Imad Wasim reveals this statement on his official account on Twitter (X), on Saturday:

I am happy to announce that under meeting PCB officials, I have reconsidered my retirement and am delighted to declare my availability for Pakistan cricket in the T20I format leading up to ICC T20I World Cup 2024

Imad Wasim further added in the post that he is thankful to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He stated that:

I would like to thank the PCB for reposing trust in me and I would give my very best to bring laurels to my country. Pakistan comes first!

However, Imad Wasim played this PSL 9 season from Islamabad United, who became victorious in this season and won this title for 3rd time.

Imad became the first player to clinch a five-wicket in the PSL final against Multan Sultans. Also, he became the first player to win the Player of the Match award in all playoff games held in PSL 9.

However, Imad Wasim retirement back from T20I cricket will be a great opportunity for the Pakistan team to have a strong middle-order batsman.

Imad was playing as a key member of the green side in the Champions Trophy 2017 which was won by the Pakistan team against India in the final. he was also part of the 2016 world cup pakistan team and the 2019 or 2021 World Cup.

Imad made his debut in cricket back in 2015 against Zimbabwe and played 55-day games and 66 short-format T20I games. In blowing unit, the spinner took 109 wickets and scored 1472 runs in his international career.
