The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given India Team the second semi-final for the Upcoming tournament of the T20 World Cup 2024 which will start in the coming month of June in the United States of America (USA) and West Indies, this news was reported by ESPN Cricinfo.
In the T20 World Cup 2024, Team India is in Group A along with their biggest rivals Pakistan Cricket Team, USA, Canada, and Ireland. If the India Team successfully managed to clear the knockout stages and qualify for the semifinal in Providence, Guyana.
The reason that ICC gave India the second semi-final is the match timing. The first semi-final which is to be played in Tarouba, Trinidad, will start at 8:30 local time, which in India would be 6:00am on June 27, a time that is not suitable for the Indian audience.

Conversely, the second semifinal is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. local time, or 8:00 p.m. in India. The Indian viewers will benefit more from the second semi-final’s timing.
The World Cup final will take place on June 29 at 10:00 a.m. local time, or 7:30 p.m. in India.
Additionally, it has been announced that there would be no reserve day for the second semi-final. If the match is delayed for whatever reason, an extra 250 minutes will be added to the schedule. Reserve days will exist for the first semi-final and the championship game, though.

Recall that reserve day would be held for the first semi-final and final of the World Cup if neither team was able to secure a definitive outcome in the elimination match until both had batted for at least 10 overs apiece.
Just like other matches of T20 played in the past, the team that is batting on the second number will play five overs to choose a result in case of any interruption and the same rule will apply for this World Cup. The ten-over rule is for three knock-out matches.

There will total of 55 games in the T20 World Cup that will be played at 9 different venues in the West Indies and United States (US) from, the 1st of June.

Kensington Oval, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Providence Stadium, Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, Arnos Vale Stadium, St Vincent.

Eisenhower Park, Lauderhill, Grand Prairie, Texas.
The semi-finals of the event will be played on June 26 and 27 in Guyana and Trinidad respectively while the climax of the World Cup will take place in Barbados on June 29.
