Pakistan’s famous Younis Khan wants Fakhar Zaman to Lead the Pakistan Cricket Team in the white-ball format. He wants Babar Azam to step down from captaincy after a disappointing T20 World Cup 2024 performance.
Younis Khan expresses this in a local channel sports show, the Pakistan former skipper back Fakhar Zaman for Leading the green team in the T20 and ODI formats.

Zaman was a member of the team led by Sarfaraz Ahmed that took home the 2017 Champions Trophy. He forged connections with Azhar Ali during the competition, and against India in the final, he struck a century.

“Who is that one player in the side who is leaving his opening slot and batting down at four or five or six? Who is sacrificing his place? Fakhar Zaman! Why won’t you make him the captain?” Younis added.
In white-ball cricket, Pakistan is currently led by Babar Azam, who was in charge of the side that, following a lackluster performance in the T20 World Cup 2024, was forced to return home.
Babar took over as the team’s captain in 2019 and left following the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The team’s captain for 2024 was renamed Babar shortly before the T20 World Cup, however, Shaheen Shah Afridi remained still in charge.

Babar and co. are under pressure because of Pakistan’s dismal performance at the T20 World Cup 2024; they lost to the USA in their opening encounter and subsequently to India. Pakistan might have easily won both games, but they were nonetheless lost by the team.
