The BCCI has planned a Music Celebration for cricket enthusiasts at Ahmedabad Stadium on October 14th during the Pakistan vs India showdown.
There was no Opening ceremony at the start of the World Cup due to some security concerns.
According to reports in the Indian media, a musical ceremony is scheduled to take place before the match on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, which is the world’s largest cricket ground. The event is expected to be attended by high-profile Bollywood celebrities.
Anil Patel, secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA), mentioned that golden ticket holders will be present at the game. The Indian Cricket Board has provided premium passes to cricket legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rajinikanth, and Amitabh Bachchan. The singer Arijit Singh will also be performing during the ceremony.
Numerous VIPs are anticipated to attend the India vs Pakistan game, as reported by India Today. The Bollywood event is scheduled to commence at 12:40 pm (IST) and conclude by 1:10 pm. Children will serve as mascots for the game and will escort the teams onto the field.
The report further states that 20-25 Pakistani journalists will be covering the match. Patel added that they have received the necessary approvals and made all the arrangements for their presence.
Meanwhile, sources within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have shared that PCB chief Zaka Ashraf is also expected to travel to India in a couple of days, as he has already been granted an Indian visa for the match.
Pakistan has faced India seven times in the ICC World Cup and unfortunately lost all seven matches. Despite this, Babar Azam and his team are determined to end their losing streak against their rivals in the current World Cup, following their recent victories against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka.
