The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the 15-member Pakistan U19 ACC Squad for Asia Cup 2023 set to happen in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this month.
Sohail Tanvir, the former pace bowler heading the junior selection committee, along with his team, finalized the squad for the U19 Asian event. Saad Baig, who previously led the team in series against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, will captain the side in this tournament.
Pakistan’s U19 team, placed in Group A alongside India U19, Afghanistan U19, and Nepal U19, kicks off their campaign against Nepal on December 8. Following that, they’ll face India and Afghanistan on December 10 and 12, respectively.
Mohammad Yousuf, the renowned batsman and newly appointed U19 head coach, gears up for his inaugural assignment with this team.
The PCB conducted a training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi starting from November 24. The players showcased their skills during this camp, vying for spots in the final squad.
